I have a Groco Model K head and an lectrasan treatment unit. I am having a flushing problem that appears to be related to the Groco head. When I flush, it appears that some of what is being flushed recirculates with the flush water......gross......what should be going directly into the lectrasan is getting mixed with the flush water. This gradually clears up if I continue flushing. I replaced the joker valve thinking that might be the problem...no help.

Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks in advance!!

next step is to pull the Groco, take it home and rebuilt it on the bench. Replaced the joker valve yesterday and it didn't help.....just thought I'd seek additional advice incase I don't need to rebuild it (i'd rather not)......

Why does everybody automatically say replace the joker valve? On the Groco model K series, the incoming water goes up a passageway at the rear of the bowl, whereas the discharge water goes out through the joker valve. If you look at an exploded view of the toilet (on Groco's website), the only way you can get dirty water mixed in with the clean water is to get bypass from worn piston "O" rings, or bypass via the bowl gasket, which has two openings in it - one for the incoming water, the other for the outgoing water. The joker valve never enters into the picture. Long and short of it, the toilet needs to be taken apart and rebuilt!

Thanks Vic, that's my plan....remove and rebuild.....joker valve was replace at the suggestion of a dock mate.......
