Just heard on the news that the Straits have frozen over and the not too smart snowmobiles are running from the Island to St. Ignace. This is NOT a good indication that I'll be splashing anytime soon. You Lake Erie guys are probably only 5 or 6 weeks away?

well...yesterday morning, it was ice as far as I could see off of Cleveland, on the way home from work (about 5:30) it was mostly open with ice to about a mile off shore. We start launching at work in mid April
