Hardtop for Riviera wanted

Wanted: Hardtop for Riviera #2807. Carver no longer can supply. Hoping that someone knows of where I might find one of these, possibly from a scrapped model or one which has been converted to a canvas top.
 
I'd suggest looking online for some boat salvage dealers. I think there are some big ones on the Great Lakes. Try close to the Carver factory, which is in Pulaski WI near Green Bay. We have a small salvage place near us on the Hudson River but I doubt they'd have any Rivieras there. That model was more popular up on the Lakes and Rivers...

Failing that, you might find a custom top fabricator in one of the trade publications like Soundings or Lakeland Boating. Or try Ask the Captain or the Marine Surveyor forum here on BoaterEd for more ideas...
 
thanks for the suggestion.Have e-mailed a couple of salvage yards. Have not had a response. I am not holding out much hope on this matter. Will consider fabricating my own hardtop.
 
Take a look on ebay as well. Or maybe boats.com. Maybe there's a boat in Florida, Alabama or Louisiana someplace that was wrecked in one of the hurricanes and is being sold for parts or salvage. You never know! Don't lose heart, but at the same time consider a custom made one if all else fails...

If you have a nice Carver dealer in Ontario (the ones here in NY would likely tell you to go scratch) perhaps one of them can research some plans or diagrams or installation instructions or something from back when the Riviera was new. Its possible and worth a shot as well. The worst anyone can say is "no", right???
 
Just wondering. Did you find the hardtop you were searching for? We would also like to find one but have not had any luck?

No luck whatsoever! Tempted to consider building my own. Will think about that over the winter.
 
Maybe you can make contact with someone who has a hardtop, and have a custom fiberglass guy take measurements off it in order to use as a template. Of course this will be very expensive...
