Head Fan

The fart fan in our head sounds like a Vitamix food processor when you turn it on - VERY LOUD!!! It is a 4" inline fan that is vented via flexible tubing to a louvered plasic grill just mounted on the side of the boat just below the rub rail.
Anyone know of a good replacement fan? It is a 1997 350 Mariner but i haven't tore into it yet to see if there are any mfgr names/model numbers on it yet.
Any ideas? Seems today's technology could produce something that: 1). actually moves air and 2). isn't so LOUD.

mine was extremely load also. I removed the blower and put a piece on 1/4' think foam between the mounting flange and hull and it quieted it down quite a bit.
