Just a quick post to say hello to all of you that I've met in the past on the bay! It's been quite a while since I've posted here! Since I retired 2 years ago, I don't have as much time to "surf" as I used to(marko - you can ignore this comment!).

It's good to see some of the older RO's still posting - MikeeH, arks1, C_spray, marko, TRguy & others.

We've been boating all along, but just made a drastic change. We sold CHILL FACTOR in June & 2 weeks later we went over to the "DARK SIDE" & bought a 32 Ft. Hunter Vision32 - GASP!------ sailboat!! It seems to fit our lifestyle much better now. It sure has been different! - CHILL FACTOR was brand new when we bought her - the "new" boat(yet to be renamed) is a 1989! It's been a lot of work getting her "up to snuff", but it's been worth it. I'll post some pix when the new sails arrive.

Hope to see some of you on the bay this year.

Erle

Mikeeh - your new house looks great!!!

Hey Erle! Good to hear from you. How's Ginny? (yeah I remembered!)
I'll TRY not to let that "blowboater" thing bother me... where are you docking her?

I guess that "going to the dark side" is all relative. I was recently reading a performance boat forum, where one of the posters said he temporarily went over to the dark side by riding on his friend's Silverton. It drove him stir crazy doing "only" 19-20 mph all day. He'd better stay away from sailboats and full displacements hulls that don't plane.

The darkside is better than no side. :) I can even relate to a bagger. Heck, retired, no hurry to be anywhere? I'd bag it too.

Enjoy!

Erle..
Great to hear from you! Ragbagger, eh? That's OK. We're boatless but at least the house at Still Pond is finally finished. Gonna be a while before we can afford to put a boat at the dock though. All the best to Ginny! Is she comfortable sleeping overnight on a boat yet?

Erle,

Retired 2 years ago????? How will the folks you left behind survive?

Good luck with the sailboat. I'll try to remember to give you plenty of distance when I fly by.
