Ignorant boater has a questions concerning the replacement of heads on pending purchase:
The starboard engine had both heads replaced due to water leaking back from the riser. Overtime, this water stretched the valve and caused low compression and, as a result, both heads were replaced. Apparently, the new heads were left exposed for a couple of days and some condensation formed on the springs causing some surface rust. the owner has agreed to have them inspected and cleaned and deducted a fair amount off of the previously agreed upon price. Am I missing something serious? A compression test was done and was perfect....
I look forward to your valuable comments!
