Help with pic.

Jon, it's up to you, however, I think you can be a valuable asset to HRCC. You just need to be a bit more respectful of the choices each of us make in life.

If it works for you, that's great - it may not be the thing for me, and vice versa.

Get to know the guys and gals here, we have a great bunch of boaters who would do anything to help each other. You would probably never have met Dan were it not for his participation in this site.

Some RO's are more sensitive than others, just like you'll find with anyone you meet. If you tone down some of your posts, you'll fit in fine here and be welcomed with open arms.

I should be out this weekend, either Croton or the Death Hole - stop by and have a beer...

Jon Mike is the most sensitive we have around here. ;)

Anyway, Deb and I met Jon up here, and we had a great time. I know Jon and Bernadette to be pleasant folks willing to sit and chat for quite a while, and believe me there is little offense taken. I hope alot of the clash is probably just due to the ol' email looses something in the translation.
And I will side on the notion that there are folks stuck in corporate traps, hopefully Deb and I will bail out gracefully this year!

REread some of the stuff I wrote and got a spanking from the admiral.( shes never wrong)
Im not to proud of some of the stuff I wrote not making excuses but it sort of came out wrong . I'd be happy to stay its a great place to meet fellow boaters , who believe it or not I'd help out any way I could .mabey the net thing ain't for me .
JOHN H , NOT EXACTLY SURE HOW WE EVEN GOT MIXED UP IN A CYBER FEUD ,but I did'nt use my head, and I'l accept the blame but want you to know none of it was pearsonal.
I'd like to burry the hatchet with you after all were on the same side last I checked, IF NOT well I can understand that., sounds like it would be my loss from what I hear here.
have a good weekend all , see you on the river ....
BEST WHISHES :) Jon

jonf,
I wouldn't call it a feud, let's just say it was some verbal sparring. No one wants you to quit the forum, I'm sure you have a lot to offer fellow Hudson River boaters. I'm willing to set the anchor (that's like burying the hatchet) and move on. We have a good forum here with many knowledgeable and experienced boaters from up and down river and we shouldn't let it degrade into such antics as we have seen in this thread. Some of us are just a little older and more crotchity at times (that would be me). Enjoy your weekend.

Connelly is across the Rondout Creek from Kingston.. So we are all one here. Stony Point, now that is another story. They're right down there with the Pennybridge gang.

John H ,
Without this sounding too mushy , I was way out of line to say the least & didn't feel too good about myself to be honest about bieng very dis-respectful twards you .What I WROTE was just " plain ol " disgraceful & I should know better, I sure as hell wasn't raised to be like that and feel ashamed of myself for it.( especially you bieng a vietnam vet & all... well, for once my big mouth just don't know what to say....)
Thanks for keeping me in check and everyone elese to.

Awe geez, we don't need no group hugs here :)

Jonf, sounds like you're new to the internet. It's a different way of communication. Without the facial expressions, verbal tones, etc, we're all missing 50% of the message. I know this for a fact, I recently found myself in a pickle.

What we need is some beer, cigars and face time to set the record straight.

Hang in there (here), you sound like a great person. Anyone that puts his life on the line for the defense of our country is entitled to a beer on me. Thanks for serving, let me serve you one.

Thanks Walshie, your right about the 50% thing i think, new aint the word , this is the first site i ever talked to people on so i gave it a shot cause i really like boats and boaters.
Thanks for the kind words, cause i kinda felt like climbing under a rock lately... Be nice to catch up with you one of these days and take you upon your offer.
Jon

Let's correct one thing because I don't want to mislead anyone. I never said I was IN Vietnam, I said I was in the Army (1966-1968) during the Vietnam war years. Much of my time was spent in well protected data processing facilities in Europe. I was never close to any combat (except maybe in a few bars in France). Boy do those people suck...oops, sorry, just brought back some memories.

That's how Felix made Oscar eat it!

hahahahah....is that the fat farm episode? Great stuff! Although my favorite "eating" line from the odd couple is from the monestary episode. "Quick Eat the Dice!"....."I Can't I'm Diabetic!"

The un-intentional comedy in this thread is by far some of the most entertaining I've seen in a while.
