Is there any problem with venting two holding tanks through the same line. I have two tanks each at a different level on my boat, and one 3/4 line that runs to a thru-hull for a vent. I intend to basically tee into the line for the vent on the second tank. Thanks

There is a possibility of one flowing into the other if the vent gets clogged or the tank gets too full.

I'd be more concerned with not having enough ventilation to get air into both tanks, which will result in some bad odors.

If you can, run separate vent lines.

Thanks for the reply. I hadn't thought about the lack of air for two tanks. I have actually teed into the line for the 2nd tank, and did notice that the head bubbled a time or two, which it did not do before when flushing, which I am assuming could indicate a lack of air. I can add another thru-hull so each tank can have an individual vent, but due to location i'll probably have to get in the water to do so, and it's a little nippy for that now. Thanks again.
