HONDA 224 2002

I am being offered a 2002 (new in crate) Honda 225 with 5 year extended warrantee for $13,600 or new 2006 for $15700.

Honda introduced the 225 in 2002 (this engine is # 1780) and I have heard that the early engines had crank issues.

Has anyone heard of problems with the 225?
