Has anyone come across a chart on the internet that shows the actual sizes of fish hooks that I could print out???
Thanks Bob

Note, for circle hooks you need to go to the various manufacturers' sites as there does not seem to be any great uniformity is size versus number between makers, & in at least some cases even different model series by the same mfgr.

Well the time has come to address the HOOK situation. I thank Thudpucker and Sandy for their replies and have researched the appropreate websites. Although my main interests were for the BIG HOOKS I have studied up numerous sites and and learned some interesting facts.
I figured if you want to know about hooks, who would know best but a professional HOOKER so I googled HOOKER....thank the dear Lord my wife didnt walk in the room as this would have proven a sorry state of affairs. Without going into great detail it appears that HOOKERS know little to Jack about hooks.
So with that being said I see that Thudpucker has an interesting question about circle hooks in another message and being the curious type I once again googled CIRCLE HOOKERS????You would think a college person like myself would have learned from the first experience....not to be. You have the FULL CIRCLE, the INNER CIRCLE and the WINNERS CIRCLE.... whod a guested it?? I see Hilary C. is in the INNER CIRCLE and perhaps Thudpucker might ask her the pros and cons of the "J" hook VS the circle hook.....$100.00 says she knows and if she doesnt she could ask Bill.
Well enough of this trying to reinvent the hook, I am headed to the islands to fish for anything thats hungry and I will report back 5/1/08 with my findings on the.....THE HOOK.

Bob, you might try Halibut Gear. That's where I first used them. Big stainless hooks at first then mild steel finally. I just dont have the patience for all that searching. Once if get an overwhelming abmount of information to choose from, I get disgusted and demoralized.

Get a 'Captain Harry's' fishing supply catalog, they have the actual sizes for all the hooks and terminal gear in their catalog.

Great resource, they are located in Miami.
