I do well in spring and fall, but it's difficult to find fish in summer. I use my FF, fish finder, but I generally see nothing to fish for. Where the heck do they go? I fish in the NYC reservoirs where they are plentiful when the water cools...WTH?

What kind of fish are you going for?
Cat's will be on the bottom or just under a ledge, resting till about Midnight. They feed till 04:00 or so then back to sleep somewhere out of the moving water.

Crappie will always be in a group, near some cover or outcropping. In the Heat of the day they look for shade. Look for Crappie between 8' and 20' of water.
Bream are always near shore, under the brush.

Our fish go deep in the channels and rivers. But come up on the edges at daylight to feed.
Some go offshore in 30 or so feet of water too.

We here in NY have these city resuvours and the average 50' deep, we have both bass, pickeral, yellow perch and trout. My FF never finds anything in summer even when I zig zag and watch it the whole time... I know when I go down south Florida, the lakes are shallow and they really can't hide so well, so its pretty easy.
