I posted on another thread that I needed to replace switch and thermostat assembly on Atwood hot water heater due to corrosion/short.
Went to replace earlier today and only partly successful. Due to corrossion on heating element I was not able to reconnect wires. Debating on how to deal with that issue, but in the meantime I can replumb the tubing so that I get hot water from the second tank. (I have 2 tanks stacked and plumbed in serial.) Unfortunately, tank with problem is downstream of good tank and it would have to empty before getting hot wter from upstream tank. So, I am wanting to bypass the downstream tank. I tried disconnecting the tubing at the fittings, but did not come apart. Did not want to force and possibly break it until I understood if there is a "technique".
Hoping Vic is around!
