How not to die whilt jet skiing

The typical type of life vest worn for Watersports will not keep an unconscious person head out of the water. It will just make it easier to find the body and reduce costs. :)

Personally I think that jet skiing on the Delaware River is gross...

Typical life vest; yes. there are as u know life jackets designed to keep ur head above water even if unconscious. Not the most comfortable but at least u won't be dead !

True, but has anyone ever seen someone on a jet ski wearing anything but a Type III?

The other issue with Types I and II for water sports is they aren't speed rated like some (most, nowadays) Type III's.

On the topic of PFD types - I've noticed almost all of the inflatables I've seen lately are dual certified Type III and V. With a Type III certification, they shouldn't need to be worn to meet carriage requirements.
