How to say NO to a raft-up question

We had people come up to us in a bowrider and ask to use the bathroom. The wife didn't give me a chance to answer before she rejected them.
 
Years ago, my brother's co-worker joined us for a boat ride on the TN River near Chattanooga. We heard his screams for help and rescued him from the head.

He had accidentally locked the door, but accused us of locking him in as a prank.

Years later he still claimed we somehow locked him in.. Some people just cannot move on.
