Hudson Dockage Suggestions

You can make them out from the marina. A few of the trees block them for a clean shot at them.

I would suggest coming up to Haverstraw first, then do a few days at Liberty Landing (try to get in for the 4th.) you can see some fireworks from there just not the full view of the Macy's and then head to the Channel Club in Monmouth Beach, NJ. (Sandy Hook)

I can't wait to see what the marina rates will be there!

OK Dan, and what are you going to do, fly up here an beg to borrow someone's boat so you can check out what it is like to spend $300/night at a NY marina? Tell us where you will be - Bahamas or USVI - and we can spend the money to come see you!

BTW, is there any boat traffic on the Rondout this year?

How does this sound?

6/27 - 6/29 - 2 nites Channel Club
6/29 - 7/1 - 2 nites Molly Pitchers
7/1 - 7/4 - 3 nites Haverstraw (Bowline fireworks)
7/4 - 7/5 - Liberty Landing (if they will let us do 1 night)

Geo we'll let you know when we get there. It's still a few months away!

I'd say the large boat traffic is much lower this year. There were spots open last week, and this week there are more openings. The smaller boat traffic has dropped way off as well as having many more slip openings on the inside. There seemed to be a pretty good crowd on the creek for the fireworks, I'm betting folks are saving the fuel budget for high flyer type events.

Dave I'm pretty sure lib landing will let you stay one night OUTSIDE that week. They had a minimum last year and it was 3 nights at something like 5 bucks a foot plus electricity. Good luck I say. By the way, have any of you L.I. folks stayed in Coney Island Creek?

Geo correct me if I am wrong but those numbers seem close don't they?

The $5/ft "included" electricity and a pumpout...funny thing is the AC worked better when we switched to the gen set and the tank meter read low not empty. My guess is they would let you stay one night if it was July 5th, probably not July 4th. Gas at Liberty was $5.099, Alpine was $4.309 on Thursday, $4.409 on Sunday. Guess I have to charge more for boat waxing this week!

No, where is Coney Island Creek? I didn't see that in marinas.com.
Would like to try that. Used to love Coney Island. Is it safe?

I had to pay $5.59 the other day at Treasure Cove in Riverhead. I just got 20 gallons to get me to the shinnecock where gas was $4.89 but that was for 93 octane, so it was a deal!

I will have to call Liberty Landing and adjust the schedule if needed.
