Hudson River Water Temp.

We need 40 degree water temperature, (4.444c), before turning on the AC/Heat unit on the boat. Running the electric or propane heater is a PITA!

I found a site that displays river data in almost realtime.

Here is one of the charts showing water temperature at West Point.

Or, you could ask me, since I was out yesterday and the water was 37 degrees. Anyone wants some real time data, just PM me and I will run out and check. Anything to avoid work.

Still pretty darn cold to me - I miss those 70 degree Summer water temps!!!

I wonder why the water is warmer in Poughkeepsie than West Point right now? Is a little kid swimming?
