We went there last night and the quality of the food was not as good as our previous ventures. The soup was not warm enough, and my burger had to be sent back twice because it was over cooked.

When I sent it back the second time, I told them to keep it, the manager came over, apologized and took it off the bill. It really is not that hard to cook a hamburger medium, both times it came out well done.

I would not exactly call The Hudson Water Club high end. There prices reflect the water front view. The last 2 times I have been there the food has been less than average. The chef sure is not afraid to use the salt shaker. And if he cant cook a simple burger how is he going to cook anything else. Its a shame, they really did a nice job and food was good the beginning of the year. They either lost a good cook or he has limited hours there. One thing for sure, its going to be a while before I go back...

Where is Noel's? Is it the Irish place, next to the hardware store?

Actually, Leigh, one of the people in our party ordered a burger that came out perfectly cooked, she gave me half and it was delicious.
The Water Club is by no means "high end" - the only thing I find pricy there are the martinis. The rest of the food, while more expensive than Parrot Bay or SPBM is not outrageously priced.
I've been there three times this year, two were excellent, one was mediocre - however, management stepped up and treated me right. They offered me another meal, but since I ate half of the good one, I declined. When one of our party asked for a few french fries (hers were cold) they brought out 3 full bowls of fries.
Hey, there are plenty of places to go, next time I'll probably go somewhere else. That's what's great about this country, you can go eat anywhere you want!
