Is there an official HRCC get together or Raft up?

Where is Croton Pt? I am docked in Liberty Landing in Jersey City, NJ. Looking for a good place to hang with fellow boaters.

Just look out for potato rock on the way in. From what people have told me that is the only thing in Haverstraw Bay that deserves concern. Of course, keeping it in the channel helps also!
 
I have another boat from LI potentially interested in a Labor Day raftup on the Hudson. I think I'd like to make the trip, should have a better idea in a couple weeks.
 
Well this years HRCC/LICC get together was the weekend of 9/22 and a good time was had by all.

John, good to see you too! How was your trip? I didn't realize you were leaving first thing in the morning, would have been nice to have some more time to hang out.

I think hanging out with Jonathan until 2am a couple docks down counts as an HRCC/LICC gathering also!

Mike's just jealous that he missed it!

The trip to Fire Island was interesting to say the least. Weather was mixed and the fog almost killed the trip but we went anyway. Very strong winds Sunday for the trip back but one of the people with us lost an engine so it took many hours to get home :(

You South shore boaters are a brave bunch. Running on plane to get from point a to point b because if you don't there isn't enough water. I esp. liked the part about coming in Fire Island Inlet and crossing a land mass on the GPS!

I have a few more pictures to post when I get a chance.

I'd classify this as an official HRCC/LICC get together!
 
That land mass in FI inlet hasn't been there in 20-30 years, if not longer... You would think they could get all these new electronic charts right and fix the shoreline in that spot!

John, it's not "Bruce", it's "Butch".

Glad you had a good time, I came back from there one time on one engine, took me 12 hours! It was the last time I saw Art.
 
Luckily the guy that lost an engine was just going back to Freeport so we "only" took 7 hours to get home.

Yes it does.

Had a ball that night and managed to not have a hangover for our Canyon trip.

Couldn't imagine being in 4-6's for 24 hours on a nasty hangover!!!

Thinking Oct 13th for next trip, maybe you are free???
