Is this boat under powered?

Greg, guess your ? depends on what you want/expect to do with the boat. FYI - my best comparison would be a 32' Carver Mariner at almost the same weight with 5.7L Merc's rb2@gr5t 250hp with v-drives - it cruised at 22 knts and topped at 26 knts which was very comfortable for us. Pulled 2 tubes at times with fun had by all. With 310hp you will most likely cruise around mid 20's and top out near 30 ? If you want to work on the boat yourself these appear to give you some room to get around them where the 8.2 is gonna be really, really tight. IMHO, all the best and stay healthy! Ed
