Wednesday nite when stepping off my boat to the dock finger I dropped the keys to my Jeep in the drink. The tide was high and my fishing net didn't reach the bottom. Came down thursday at low tide and I could see them glinting in the sun on the bottom. I scooped them up, rinsed off the mud and, suprise, they worked. I took the key apart and the battery and circuit board were dry. They were submerged for 16 hours in salt water. If you want you can do this with your keys to check my results. Once is enough for me.
