Joining a Fling to the Bahamas

After much debate(with myself)I have decided to participate in one of the boating flings sponsored by the Bahamas Tourism Bureau that depart from the east coast of FL. Although it is a bit pricey (renting a trailer, fee's, hotel etc.) I wanted the experience and exposure that I think I will get from the trip. 10+ yrs of boating experience and my biggest adventure has been a weekend on the hook in local waters. Going over in a 24 ft WA so I figured it would be best for the first time to go with the fling. Looking for anyone who has participated in one of these flings and give me some advice, tips, do's and don'ts.
