Last fall when we pulled the boat, I noticed the gelcoat at the keel was worn away, exposing the orange color. I've heard many recommendations on different products to use, the most common one seemingly being Marine Tex. Does anyone have experience using Marine Tex, and would you recommend that for the repair? The keel is still smooth, no raw glass is exposed or anything, but the gelcoat is worn away. My plan was to sand that area down, wipe clean, apply Marine Tex evenly and smoothly, let it cure and sand it smooth after it cures, then apply bottom paint. Does that sound like a winner?
