Does anyone know if this is happening this year. Last year they moved it to Candlestick from the Embaradero. I have searched a bit on the KFOG site and don't see anything about KaBOOM for 2011. Last year's show was alot shorter than prior years. Not sure what kind of crowds they got for the concerts last year so maybe they pulled the plug. Along with the change to Candlestick the weather also was poor last year. The wind had to be blowing over 20kts during the fireworks last year. Hope they still have it.

If anyone has any info in this for 2011 can you pass it on.

I try to go most years. Last year at the point was not as good, but anchoring was a lot easier.
the show is usually the Saturday before Mother's Day, but last year I think they held it a week later. I would agree that they normally would have posted info by now.
 
The KFog web site is just starting to put up information on this event.
 
Re KFOG - I used to live in SF. Do they still start the Friday 5:00PM "Attitude Adjustment Hour" show the same way by playing the song about "smoking" ?

I have been looking every day and have not seen anything. Do you have a link to info?

Thanks for your email. Unfortunately we haven't been able to find the right home for KFOG KaBoom and will need to cancel the event. We appreciate your support of KFOG and KaBoom these many years and look forward to creating new memories with some exciting things we're planning, including Maui May Tripper giveaways and other special summer events.

Yea, that is really too bad. Hopefully after they renovate the Piers south of the bay bridge for the America's Cup they will have a venue that works for them once again. The parking lot at Candlestick had to be a complete bust for them last year. In addition to the poor access to the location by land, the wind was really blowing hard for the boaters.
