I was just looking at board member C-shell's videos earlier this afternoon and recognized this guy in the video, as the same as in one of C-shell's videos he produced and shared here, a while ago on BE. About 30 seconds into the video, you'll see him.
I agree with Lex 100%, the number of law "enforcement" boats out on the river is ridiculous - and they have to write tickets to justify their existence.
My boat is my home, police can't come into my home without a warrant, why should they be allowed on my boat without a warrant?
Not only boarding but stopping without probable cause stinks. Not to mention all of OUR tax payer money spent on these boats and officers to operate them.
Down here, we have one USCG boat that is for boating compliance only. The rest are port protection.
The Sheriff Dept. boat only stops you if you are doing wrong.
The La. Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries stops everyone, no matter what you are doing, for compliance checks.
We don't get hassled much, except during holiday weekends. The drunks driving boats have ruined it for the
ones who are out to enjoy boating and the beautiful weather.
