Perhaps someone on here is familiar with a 1993 Mainship 40' Sedan Bridge. I just purchased the Lectrasan and would like to know where you would install this unit in this boat? There is only 1 head in the boat I have a small 26 gallon holding tank in the floor between the hall and main stateroom. I have also asked this question on the Yahoo Mainship forum. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you Bill

Not familiar with you specific boat or layout but I believe it s/b as close to toilet as possible and still be accessible for servicing & winterizing. Make sure you use ample size cable. Be sure you double distance in your calculations. Being cheap (frugal) I used welders cable 12 years ago tho tinned Anchor cable w/b a better choice.

Bob J has it; maximum recommended run of hose between toilet and treatment unit is six feet. Having easy access to it is key, for future servicing and winterizing. Don't mount it somewhere where you've gotta be a contortionist to get at it. You WILL need to get to it for periodic servicing.

There is a sink vanity/cabinet next to the head in fact the discharge line runs through it, I will look and see if there is enough room there. Thanks for the tip on the distance limitation.
