Little Venice Island

We belong to Caliente Isle Yacht Club and we spent last weekend at Little Venice Island (near Tinsley). It was wonderful!! They have 500 feet of dock space however there are some boats permanently moored so it cuts into useable space. We had 15 boats mainly sterned in. There is electricity and water on the docks. It is a nice little island. Terry and Clare are the island managers and could not have been more accomodating. We had a great bonfire on Saturday night and an entertaining and some times hysterical night of Karaoke. It was a quick little dinghy ride to H & H. If your organization is looking for a place to go I would easily recommend LVI.

We tried to reserve two spots for the fourth of July timeframe and they wouldn't commit. They said that last year too many people reserved and then didn't show up. We offered to go up last weekend and pre-pay so if we didn't show they would still have our money. Still no interest.

So how do you contact of them. We are looking for new spots. The areas that we usually raft out in are getting filled in with the weeds.

Our Catalina 34 Fleet One group will be there in late August for a few nights, sailing in from SF Bay. We are very much looking forward to it!
