This past Saturday I was in Croton walking through the water at low tide and discovered a huge tree about thirty yards from shore just at the end of the tree line of the condos towards the cut for the dump. The stump was around 3 feet high and the tree was around 20 or more feet long. I don't think it has been there long because there were no barnicles on it.
On Sunday we found another tree to the west of the first tree around the same distance from the shoreline that may have been there for awhile because it had lots of barnicles on it. Use caution when anchoring in Croton.
