Hi guys, looking for a certified surveyor. Any recomendations in the Chesapeake Bay/Middle River MD area? Must be SAMS certified. Thanks.

I know he is and he would be my first choice. Unfortunately the boat is out of the water and will be splashing in about 2 weeks so I was hoping to get a local to go by and do the dry portion now before it goes in. I will speak to Al but also would would like a local option.

We've used Lon as have a couple others here on BE. Highly recommend him!

Like every other boat I have had. Two....me and my wife. :) Not a done deal yet but providing it does well in its survey, I see no reason why it shuold not go through.

TWO?? What about the dogs?????

Good point. Dogs are always welcome for overnight. That's where I draw the line though.

The boat looks great - I bet it passes with flying colors.... You will be the first on in our group in your slip.....

I asked to be launched next week just so I can beat him in:)
At this rate I will be happy to get in by the end of April.

Can't wait to see it Hank best of luck!

I have confidence in this one! Not sure why but just a good feeling:) Have confidence it looks like a keeper!

What brand power Hank?

You need a specialist for the diesels IMHO. One who knows the motors issues and problems if there are any with that particular brand. They all have their problems/quirks. Some bigger than others.

What year?

Anchor. I will be very surprised if it is in the water next week or even the week after. I don't know this for sure but would not be surprised if middle river did not still have a layer of ice on it.

I will be surprised as well. They just got hit with about 4" of snow so I would imagine they are pushed back a bit. No matter to me as I would have a hard time navigating around the icebergs on the Hudson.

Jonathan-Engines are Cummins so I have also contacted them to send a certified technician. In the mean time, we will all wait as it looks like it will be a slow start this year.

Cummins has good factory service, make sure they send the 'marine guy'.

Are you using Power Systems?

Good luck with the surveys.

Good that you are getting the Cummins factory distributor/service.

Much better than a boat yard mechanic.

Hank, Please feel free to contact me if you need any assistance.
