Im not a fan of the later 2000 models. A buddy of mine has a 2005 390 Dancer, with the hardtop. Its got gas engines, (also available with diesels). I dont know what you are going to be using the boat for, but its a sharp looking boat. The ride is rough. But the cabin is spacious. Overall its a good boat..
If you use the boat all year or most of the year you want diesel, if your like me and only put 100 hours a year on the motor (best case) gas is ok. Lot's of good deals out there good luck with your hunt, I like Searay, and I agree the 390 Sundancer is a real nice looking boat.
I will be on lake mead for 5 plus years more interested in spaciousness sundancers are really attractive the wife like the idea of the hardtop or convertible type models im not sure how much use i will get out of that, thx for all the replies ive had boats all my life this will be the largest so far, as in commodities i have made a killing the last 3 years. thx again gang i havent been on here for a few years as i have been very busy but our hard work has finally paid off and our ship has now come in so to speak..
My neighbor has a 97' 50 foot sundancer that appears to be in very nice condition w/new canvas and a hydro lift dive platform. I don't know how much he is asking but have seen them for right at that price. They cruise at 25 knots.
