Hi you all,
got a real special question: 8 years ago I immigrated into the states with my 40 ft steel boat, equipped with a nice little gas stove.
This LPG gas stove needs actually 50 mB, even the usual pressure here is 30 mB.
The oven works, but a little slow.
So what can I do?
Change something in the oven to adapt to the lower pressure? Seems complicated, because the manufactorer, "Leisure products, Bolton, England, seems to non-existing anymore.
Up to now I was unable to find a pressure regulator providing 50 mB to my stove.
So I know it's a long shot, but maybe some of you "knowing all" has a tip for me?

It sounds as if you can't get your tank filled to the proper pressure, if I understand you correctly. Have you tried asking the company filling it to adjust their settings, temporarily, for you? A pressure regulator typically reduces the pressure to an acceptable level, I don't believe that it can increase pressure.
 
Another resource are RV stove repair shops. They deal with a lot more propane stoves/ovens then boat repair places. You might be able to find the appropriate adapter through an RV source. Good luck!
 
Replacing the stove is a 900 $ option, I try to avoid it because after it I still have the "european" oven.
The propan tank is full, the standard pressure regulator (better: pressure reducer!) here is 30 mB.

Perhaps I can help, been working with LP for about 20+ years.

LP is mixed a little different from state to state depending on altitude and mixed VERY different here then in Europe.

The U.S. does not use bar or milibar, but PSI and inches of water column. depending on the distance form the tank to the stove you probably do not have a primary and secondary regulator but only a secondary.

50 millibar = 20.073 inch of water
30 millibar = 12.043 inch of water

The inches of water column pressure at the stove should be about 11 to 14" if it is not you will need to replace the regulator. A inexpensive "U-tube" manometer can be bought for less then $25 and will work for this adjustment. Next is you may need to adjust/replace the burner orifice size, do not try this by just experimenting, there are tables to select the correct size. Don't worry I have never seen a gas appliance that can not be successfully converted.

thanks, I guess you know how to solve my problem. I myself tried to get info about the orifice size, but couldn't get info from the manufactorer. I use the standard US LPG-tank with the standard pressure reducer, which I believe is set to around the 12.043 inch you mentionend.
So to change the orifice size seems (in my understanding) the best solution. I'm located in Oakland und wouldn't mind to do the short trip to Sacramento to your place, because I'm really kind of scared to manipulate on the oven by myself without any knowledge.
I really would appreciate your help in that matter,

I am always up for a visit, but, we may be able to do this by email and phone. First idea is:

Do any of the burners have the input btu? This is rare on older units, but worth asking. also depends how comfortable you are working with LPG, it can be a bit tricky if your not used to it. would you just bring the oven or the whole boat? the fuel cost would probably pay for a new unit. LOL, or you could ship parts here and I can refit them for you.

do you have a digital camera? the burner orifice is most often in the manifold on most appliances. You say the oven works but is slow, what color is the flame? my email address is same as my name and I am using g mail.

my oven looks pretty like the voyager 2500. Meanwhile I got answer from the german forum I'm in and they found me the producer of my oven, its this company: http://marinecooker.co.uk/
They already answered my question, they need some more details like serial number, production number and will be able to provide me with the right orifices.
Thanks a lot for your offer to help me in that matter, I'll keep you informed when the coffee-water takes only 5 minutes to boil instead of 15 right now!
