I have a 1997 355 Carver that was set up for a lake, but now on the ocean. I have purchased two "T" series sanipumps to discharge the waste from two holding tanks overboard through one discharge thru-hull when allowed. My two previous boats discharged the waste above the waterline, but I know some boats discharge below the waterline through the bottom of the hull. I am considering installing my discharge thru-hull above the waterline for the following reasons. I can see when the discharge is complete, when I winterize I will be able to see the AF discharging, and most importantly I will have one less hole in my hull below the waterline. Anyone have any pros for discharging below waterline?
