Hey, I just thought I'd drop a note to let everyone know that the 6th annual Street Festival is going on in Mahopac (at 6-6N junction) on Sunday, Oct 5, between 11 and 5. In case anyone's marooned on land and needs something to do with the kids, please come on by - there are free activities for the little ones, and other types of rides and goodies for the older ones. Plus, there will be 10 food vendors serving everything from hamburgers to Italian to Thai food, and some desserts too!

At 2PM the Italian American Club will be parading into our festival with the Columbus Day Parade, and, along with all the bands and civic groups, one of the floats in the parade will be the $600,000 Sunsation F4 that's been featured in many of the national (and local) poker runs.

So, if anyone's in the neighborhood, please stop by. I'll be running around as I usually do at these events, with a clipboard and disheveled-looking. But seriously, it should be fun...

Thanks for the advance notice. JK

Thanks anyway, were a bit tied up today with kids birthday parties.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to put it up sooner. Anyway, it was a good event, and I hope everyone who was out boating had a nice time despite the crappy start to the day...

PS - Charlie Melchner came driving by on something called an "Xtreme Cooler". This thing is a cooler on wheels, powered by a small gas engine, and complete with cup holder and rudimentary steering...
