Maine sight seeing

Wife and I are doing a New England/Canada cruise in Sept. we have stops in both Bar Harbor and Portland.
Any must sees in either town?
We're going to do Ollie's Trolley in Bar Harbor and plan to rent a car in Portland and make a drive to Kennebunkport

Portland is a foodie heaven, and has a ton of craft brewers. Scales restaurant and DiMillo's, are a walk from where the cruise ships dock.
Don't know how long you are in port in Bar Harbor, but Acadia National Park is a place to spend days, maybe a trip to Jordan Pond for Iced Tea and Popovers? Tons of other stuff to do.
