After 40 years of boating on the Hudson we have decided to make the move to the Sound. While we will be docked in Stamford CT I expect we will be anchored or moored on the LI side most weekends. We are very excited about this move we have always said once the kids were out of the house we would make the move and this is the year. While I didn't make this decision on my own friends had become frustrated with my current marina and decided to make the move we decided to follow and we are glad we did. I have been spending time looking at the charts at all the places we plan to visit next year and look forward to hearing from others about places I don't already know that would be nice to visit.
IS IT SPRING YET?

Dave, great location to enjoy the sound as well as out east to Block etc. check out the sand hole just south of you as a great gunk hole, just follow someone with local knowledge the first time in

I'm sure there must be something but I don't really know what I don't already know until I know it :)

Welcome to the Sound. It's a totally different experience from the Hudson. We're in New Rochelle, members of Huguenot Yacht Club. New members are welcome, if you're interested. Either way, enjoy the Sound. We do. Hy

I have vacationed on the sound for many years and my parents had a boat in Huntington for many years as well. So this isn't really a new experience for us however we never spent an entire season there. We are excited about the coming season that can't come soon enough!

What marina are you going to?

I have been dreaming to go the sound for years..........
