I'm doing winter storage this year in Westville NJ, which is pretty much right under the Walt Whitman Bridge. Next summer is going to be Jersey shore - while the boat did fine on the way up from Sassafras river, I'm not thrilled about taking a boat of this vintage (1972) down the DE bay, and up the Jersey Coast.

With the fly-bridge, the boat sitting on a trailer is dangerously close to too tall. I have a hauler, if I can tell him where I'm going, if he can find a safe route, I'm optimistic that if I remove the windshield, and the seat back - he'll be willing to haul me even if I'm an inch or two over - but obviously we would need a route with no 13'6" bridges, toll booths, etc.

My questions is where to have him take me - looking at Active Captain, I see some marinas on the Mullica, Great Egg, and Tuckahoe rivers - all within 45 miles by road of Westville; but not many details as far as which ones have haul/launch capabilities. Anyone familiar with the marina's in these parts, and the roads leading to them?

Holtz Boat Works is a good choice. Up the Tuckahoe to Cedar Swamp Creek. It's in Marmora on Tuckahoe Rd.

The old Cavalier Yachts on the Mullica off route 542 would be a good place to launch with plenty of back roads. I'll look up the new name and get back to you. It puts you in a fairly deep part of the Mullica river Alk. They are on the bay side of the Lower Bank Bridge once in the water the only other bridge you will encounter is the Parkway bridge.
