This may sound like a ridiculous question, but what are the advantages of being a paying member? Thank you..

A mere $20 a year helps to keep the forum running smoothly, gets you a wealth of valuable information on just about anything you'd need to know on ANY subject. There are simply no negatives about membership and it helps to support BoaterEd (and probably Les to some extent <G&gt!!!

Paying members can do searches on forums, post in NBR, and support the site.
May not seem like much, but with the high cost of boating, you will save the $20 in advice alone.
Sure the advice is free, but search is good if looking for older info.

Thank you all for the responses... I will be joining and no I've never seen that word in a sentence or spelt correctly too... Don I'm finally in Saturday between 1-2 so they say...I'll believe it when I see it...
