2007 135 HP Merc I/O. High temp alarm will not stop even after oil pressure is indicating just fine on the meter and temperature meter also tracks just fine.

The manual says that alarm is for oil pressure, high temp and lower unit oil level.

I did change the lower unit oil just recently and I am not aware of a a lower unit oil sensor.

Any thoughts?
 
The lower unit oil sensor is typically in the gear oil reservoir that is mounted on your transom. Also, there are separate sensors that control the alarms and the gauges.
 
Check to see if one of the oil pressure , coolant temp and L/U oil alarm switch wires has disconnected and grounded out. If not try disconnecting 1 at a time to see if the alarm stops to potentially isolate the culprit.

Since you recently changed L/U fluid , fluid levels there & in reservoir might be a good thing to re-check.
