We moored in Ayala cove this past May. We tied up with the bow towards the straight, to cut the occassional ferry wake. Late at night, we experienced a full moon tide, and found the currents circled in the Cove in a counter clock wise direction. Our boat was sideways to the ripping currents. It seemed like the lines were straining to hold our boat. It was a bit alarming.
Should I have moored with the bow facing the Westerly bank, bow towards the current?
We had pretty good lines for and aft, certainly more than the guy who used a thin yellow poly fender line, to tie the stern of his boat to a mooring.
Thanks for your time. Craig
