I noticed an ad for the first major auction of Katrina boats. Among them was this Hinckley 44.

I know there has been a lot of discussion about whether it is economically feasable to repair storm damaged boats (totalled), and ususally, unless it is your business to do so, it is not.
I am just curious where this one will end up? Typical asking price for a used 44 is around $800,000. I am willing to say, that in its present condition, it will still go close to $300,000.
Will banks even lend money on totalled boats?
What a shame!
