Does anybody know if the Napa Marina waterfront has been completed with the new docks they were talking about?

No, but I would be interested in finding out. It is one of my favorite all time cruises up the Napa River from the bay. Beautiful country with enough water under the keel, most of the time, to prevent any embarrassing incidents.

An aquaintance of mine checked it out and told me: No docks yet. Pilings are in place but no sign of docks.

Maybe they are waiting on the delivery of the docks missing from Delta Coves on Bethel Island!

[Don't get upset......I'm just joking folks.]

Another thought is a cruise up the Petaluma River to Petaluma. Its a marvelous cruise, they have nice docks right downtown and you can take a walking tour of all the famous spots where American Grafitti was films right in downtown Petaluma.

I heard that the current owners of Delta Coves are going to welcome all the squatters to their docks to tie up. That way they will be harder to steal. ;)

Petaluma is nice. Call in advance and they'll arrange to have someone from the city yard open the bridge so you can get into the turning basin.

I understand that they have gates on the docks now, to help with security.

Call the Petaluma visitors bureau for all information pertaining to the draw bridge and use of the docks.

It can be a little noisy in the downtown. Bring ear plugs for the night.
