As I crossed the B.I. bridge today, I looked towards the waterways as I usually do and I saw a partially (mostly) sunken cruiser. It is almost in the middle of Dutch Slough, about a quarter mile east of the bridge. It is stationary, and sitting across at a 90 degree angle to the slough.
It appears to be about a 30' flybridge cabin cruiser. It looks to be a woodie, maybe an old Carver. The bow, cabin roof and flybridge are visible.
For the local boater's sake (and the environment), I hope they get it removed ASAP. They should at least have someone mark it with hazard bouys and lights, because it is smack-dab in the middle of the river and even though it is a no-wake zone, if someone hits it, they will get hurt.
I have called the CoCoCo Sheriff Marine Patrol and reported it.
If you are boating in the area, please be aware of it.
