Need a little diesel help

Back on the gauges, will they read differently based on the load? In other words, will they read the same at a given RPM whether the engines are in neutral or pushing the boat?

One more suggestion. Hearing (muffs) protection. Make sure you have a set and don't go into the bilge while the engines are running without them.

Every boat should have muffs aboard but

Yeah, I should have a hookah rig. I have my C card but a hookah would certainly come in handy.
