Hey all. I just purchased a Silverton 312 that is being trucked down from Washington and I will be berthing at Miller Park/Sacramento marina.

Does anyone know what the closest facility is to have it hoisted off the trailer and into the water?

Thanks a bunch in advance!!

I don't know of anything that would handle a boat your size up in Sacramento. Maybe check with your Marina there. Otherwise the closest place may be Walton's in Rio Vista. Not sure about their facilities, but they do bottom work, so you can give them a call. I think Perry's also has a lift, but I'm not sure on the size. I know Bethel Harbor can handle it because I had my 39 ft Silverton hauled out there, but that is a little further away from Sacramento than Perry's or Walton's.

thank you very much for the advise. what would you say is the closest of the two? also, does it typically run about $5/ft?

im not too picky about the costs, but damn they are adding up quick between the haul out, prep, transport, pilot car, haul in, then cruise up to sac!

also, any estimates about how long of a cruise it is up to sac? i know its up river and would probably cruise at a +5 knots.

From Perry's you would go up Georgianna Slough and while this is closer it is also a no wake zone for most of the way and there are two bridges which I think you have to make prior arrangements to have opened. Waltons is on the Sacramento but a little further away. However, with the exception of a few no wake zones, you can go much faster. So I think it would take about the same amount of time.

I have not done the trip, but I know many on here have. I'm guessing about 6 hours.

Not sure on the costs but they can vary by quite a bit. Call around.

uppderdecker you are a wealth of knowledge for which i appriciate!

ill make some calls tomorrow. i tryed to find those two marinas on google but had no luck. i did though find bethel harbor and they list their haul out rates at $9/ft and includes cleaning. my boat was just bottom painted 3 weeks ago, so i may see how much for, and if they will just do the lift portion.

i was figuring about 6 hours myself so we are spot on. i guess it will be my own one man potluck since i will miss the good ole sacramento potluck in the process!

btw, how do you like your silverton? i was always a fan of their lines before i bought mine, and i really like mines layout. albeit a lot smaller than yours.

Here are all the numbers. bookmark this site as it has a lot of good info on the Delta.

Love the boat. Had it shipped here all the way from Oklahoma 6 years ago.

thanks UD! glad you like the boat. what model is it? if im not mistaken, it has the same layout as mine just MUCH bigger. im going to look for an ac/heat unit for mine as well as a genset as they are piped and plumbed for it from the factory.
