I just got a copy of "Get Onboard With E-Charting" by Mark & Diana Doyle and find it a great resource for anyone using a laptop for navigation and charts. The book has a wealth of information on programs, websites and resources and even includes a CD of trial software. I would recommend this book to anyone using a computer onboard while cruising.

I am not connected with them in any way, just a satisfied user of their E-Charts and this new book. We're starting the southbound Loop next week from Knoxville, TN, and plan on taking this book with us.

We're currently having some Raymarine accessories added and should be ready to go when the work is complete.

Hi Kent, I am really excited for you folks taking on the great loop. I'm on Old Hickory Lake/Cumberland River rb2@gr5t Nashville. I am trying to get up enough courage to drive my Regal 3060 from here to Knoxville. I hope to sell it soon and move into a 3880. Did the book you talk about help any with the route from Knoxville (placed to stop, etc.)?
Thanks and good luck !!
Did you say you will be keeping a website for the trip?
