I know this topic has been posted often, but I didn't keep good notes! Looking to replace all my canvas this season. Wondering who you guys suggest. I've heard AMC in Lindenhurst is good. We're in Massapequa so south shore is appreciated.

Also, does it make good sense to get the work done sooner than later even though the boat is still up on the hard?

Thanks in advance.

Sooner than later, the window of opportunity is closing to get it when you want it (need it).

Tony fro AMC is a good guy

Tony or Frank at AMC in Amityville, next door to Amity Chaparral. You'll get quality work, fair prices, and work done on time. Hy

I meet Frank at the local coffee pot.....the other morning......he said they are CRAZY busy.....so you better hurry......

They are good guys and are always busy......because they do good work.

Trevor does excellent work, I hear, the problem is he will never show up to get it done in a timely fashion. That my friend is what everyone tells me in the Anchorage Yacht Club.

Confirmed.
Called Trevor, no return call.
Called Trevor, He said he would come by, no show.
Called Trevor, He said he would come by, no show.
Drove to his office, said he would follow me to the boat, he did.
Looked at job, said he would do it tommorroe, no show.
Called Tony from AMC, job done next day!
Enough said.

IMO. If you are going to pitch AMC, you need to qualify that Tony is the guy to see. I was unimpressed with the other guy and if you live in Nassau, that's who you get.

Went to AMC and the admiral talked to Frank. Nice guy. Said things really heat up May 1st. We are thinking it through and hoping to commit within the next two weeks or so. Thinking I should have her request Tony some way, somehow.

I always try to deal with Tony when using AMC. But if you are afraid of 2nd hand smoke, stand back. LOL, Tony I know you are watching ;-)
