New Raritan Sanitation hose

Has anyone used the new Raritan sanitation flexible hose? If yes, where did you find it and how much. This looks awesome and way easier to bend and move!!

Its called the "Sani/Flex Odor Shield Hose" on their site...
 
Defender.com carries Sani/Flex for $11.79/ft for 1 1/2" ID.

I have not used it as I will only use Sealand Ordersafe or solid PVC pipe. I have found that the rubber hoses do not stop odor permeation as well as the Sealand PVC hose. Most sanitation hose only has 100psi limit, the Sealand hose has 270psi. The Sealand hose is fairly flexible as it does not have a wire helix. This is of course just my opinion.
 
+1 Capt. Steve. Except for 3 ft. of hose coming out of the head and another 4 ft. going to the pump out fitting I used solid PVC 1 1/2 inch, the 3 ft. piece it the only hose that could have a permeation problem.
 
I just replaced some head hose with the Raritan hose and I have to say that it is easy to work with, very flexible easy to clamp. I can't say how long it will last but Raritan gives a 5 year warantee. What that means in reality I have no idea. I thought it was easier to work with than the Sealand hose which I replaced.
 
Thanks all. I am getting ready to install the Marine Elegance toilet later this year and going to re-route the tubing and this looked like an easier way to make it happen.
 
It works great, and other than the cost, it's really nice to use.
 
I just replaced all my hoses from the toilet to the LectraSan, to the vented loop and finally to the thru-hull valve with this new hose. Easiest hose to work with hope it will keep the odor down compared to the old sanitation hose.

I ordered mine through Defender.
 
This is all good information. I don't need to replace any hoses yet but I will consider this sanitation hose when I do need to replace my SeaLand hoses.

Use PVC pipe wherever you can, it's cheap and will never need to be replaced.
 
Mike in my installation I have no runs over 3 to 4 feet and all have turns in them. The only long run is to the pump out fitting and that follows the hull's curve up to the deck fitting.
I still have scars on my fingers from the last time I re-arranged my waste treatment system. Those Stainless clamps are like razor blades!
