NO Wake Zone (Signs)
Looking for direction... Just putting it out there. I'm inquiring on behalf of many. Whose responsibility is it to post No Wake Zone Signs at a marina with the signs facing out, directed at the water traffic?

The sheriff posts them up here. I think I'd try working with the marina, sheriff, and lastly CG.

Well, it sounds simple enough that the marina owner should assume that responsibility. However, there may be legal ramifications to consider with local law enforcement bodies before placing no wake signs in the water.

Russell, there already is one on our seawall, the problem is, many boaters ignore it. I have found that a well placed egg will often solve the problem.

Guess that would leave em with egg on thier face , HA HA

Eggs, We're past the eggs thing. We got tossed last night. Can you say Skeet Shooting.
I was thinking of printing an extremely large banner, and riveting it to the seawall.

My kids have a whole arsenal of BB, pellet and air soft guns!

Looks like I will have to change from a life jacket to a flak jacket when passing penny bridge , in case I get caught up in friendly fire.
Went from eggs to weapons in a hurry , Whoo weee you boys really don't like wakes do ya . :)

Happy hunting...Jon :) :)

Try Haverstraw Marina.. Never a wake or wind and always plenty of water... Stony Point area.. Not so much....

Problem is the law only is 100 foot from shore is a no wake zone. Anything after that is common Courtesy and unfortunately there is not much of that.

throwin a big wake 100 feet from a marina , what the hell is wrong with people ? It's plenty wide around thoes parts I don't get why they would come so close to PBM.
Never been in there by boat , but it looks like you guys have a good sea wall. Does it really rock and roll that much in the marina.

We've been there back in the late 80's and early 90's and yes, it rocks. I would not be surprised if swells from large boats in the channel made it into the marina.

I'm givin' thanks to all who put there time in anchoring the no wake zone buoy's in front of Pennybridge Marina seawall. I began posting Friday July 18, and by Saturday we had a few buoys placed. Thanks...

The funny thing is the Sheriff's Marine Patrol never returned my phone calls.
