Anyone know the technical details of these dual voltage fridges?
I have the small DE-451 model (TEK II).
If I am on DC, it doesn't run. I hear a click, then nothing.
If I plug in and use AC, it runs normally.
After running on AC, if I only use DC, it runs normally.
A few days later it no longer runs on DC. Put on AC -- runs, then DC runs. Been there 3 times now.
I was just going to buy a new one (thinking it was like a dorm fridge and cheap) and then looked at the prices. Ouch. Even a new power supply is $250 or so. And I'm not all that confident it is the power supply.
And intermittent problems are hell when you take them to the shop.
