I have some people working with me, mostly out of Edison / Bridgewater areas - and I've been promising them all winter if they don't botch the project they are on that I would take them out for a boat ride some weekday this summer.

Back when I lived in NY, I kept my boat on City Island, and did several loops around the city. But not sure where to launch on the Jersey side. Hoping to launch in Bayonne, Newark or the like, and cruise around the Statue, and lower Manhattan. Perhaps lunch at Chelsea Piers.

Anyone know of decent ramps over there? Seeing a few on active captain, but none with reviews, and many look private. I don't need a ton of water for my boat, but it's pretty beefy for a 23' bowrider. Roller trailer and electric winch helps for marginal ramps.

Liberty State Park has a ramp. Sorta behind the Statue. I believe there is a charge to use the ramp but not sure what it is.

See lots of boats your size come through there. We anchor out in that area once in awhile.

There's a ramp in the Palisades Interstate Park just North of the GW bridge. Ross Park Picnic area, Hazard's Dock ramp.
