Not a good day!

We decided to take a long weekend Fri-Mon. All was well at the marina, except rain & high winds from Fri- Sun aft.. Oh well the gang made the best of it, lots of good wine & food, many laughs etc. The winds finally died down around 6:30 & we all decided to hop on my boat for a little ride before dinner. Bad mistake!!
Don't have a clue what we hit in the channel, but we now have a totally wrecked 2 yr old prop, damaged rudder & bent shaft!
Don't ever want to hear that sound again! Winds were picking up again as we limped back on port engine, don't know how the Captain was able to so nicely back us in to the slip,but he did an amazing job.Maybe it's because this is the third time this has happened to us on our 35! This sucks!!

What a way to end a weekend! We are now on the hard, waiting for the insurance adjuster.

Sorry to hear about your damage Sunny. Seems like a common theme on here lately. With all the rain we've had there's plenty of runoff dumping crap in the river. I saw a picnic table the last time but when I turned around to put a line on it, it was gone.

Ugh! Sorry to hear of your frustrations. We have had a lot of incidents in the Hudson too. Thankfully I haven't had the pleasure yet this year, but the season is still young!!!
